Our Weight Loss Medication
Safe, Effective Treatment Designed to Support Long-Term Weight Loss.
Weight loss isn’t easy,
you don’t have to do it alone.
At Vaelera Clinic, we use GLP-1 receptor agonist medications alongside personalised lifestyle support to give you the best chance of long-term success. These medications work by reducing appetite and slowing digestion, helping you feel fuller for longer while making healthier choices easier to sustain.
What Is Weight Loss Medication?
Weight loss medications called GLP-1 receptor agonists offer a modern solution to weight loss. They help reduce appetite and slow digestion, and when used with a healthy diet and exercise, they can be a powerful tool to help you achieve your weight loss goals.
Are These Medications Right for You?
At our clinic, we pair weight loss medications with lifestyle optimisation strategies to help our clients achieve their weight loss goals. Our programme is designed for people seeking comprehensive weight loss solutions who meet the following criteria:
Age > 18 years
Body Mass Index (BMI) >30kg/m² or BMI >27kg/m² with weight-related health conditions
What are common side effects of GLP-1 Receptor Agonist medications?
The most frequent side effects are gastrointestinal, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation. These are usually mild and tend to decrease as your body gets used to the medication.
Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) is a rare but serious potential side effect of these medications. If you develop persistent and severe abdominal pain, that may radiate through to your back, please stop this medication immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
